Glee Season 4: Rory, Santana, Puck, and Sam — Is Their Return Official Yet?

We are so very happy to know that some of our favorite McKinley High students will be back for Season 4, but we have to wonder... What about the rest of them?

Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez) spilled the news via Twitter that she’s likely making it back for another year, saying, “Super excited about working on glee for another year! Season 4 is going to be great! Ryan just filled me in on the new ideas. #iheartglee.” [Note: Her return still has not been officially announced.]

Plus, last we checked there were more seniors in this glee club than Rachel, Finn, Santana and Kurt... And they include in their numbers some serious fan favorites!! Brittany! Puck! Quinn! MIKE CHANG!!

E! Online caught up with Mark Salling (Puck) at the TCAs in January and it sounds like so far the fates of the remaining players might be uncertain. Mark told E!, “It’s just nice to really be able to work with the people I do and have the job I do. I feel blessed. And if they want to have me back, I’d love to.”

Hmm, that sounds like prime question-evading, if you ask us! Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Ryan Murphy has up his sleeve for them... (and hope they are included in the “revolutionary” twist that’s coming for the rest of the graduating seniors!)

Chord Overstreet makes his long-awaited return to Glee, armed with his guitar, of course.
Meanwhile, a couple of part-timers are also awaiting news on their Glee futures! Both Chord Overstreet  (Sam) and Damian McGinty (Rory) told Zap2it that they have yet to hear if they’ll be sticking it out for season four, but are hoping for the best. “I’ve never heard my grade mentioned, so who knows,” Chord told them when asked about his currently-recurring character, Sam. “Right now I’m just taking it day by day.”

And Damian — never one to back down from declaring his excitement for all things Glee — added, “I’m working hard and I want to become a series regular next year. That’s what I’m aiming towards. Haven’t heard anything yet.”

We’re pretty sure keeping their familiar faces in the mix while all the transition ensues at the start of next season would be a wise choice — but who knows what Ryan Murphy has planned! And if  the other seniors aren’t guaranteed spots in the action, what can we imply about the roles that the returning seniors will have?? So many questions!
