Fitness First downgraded to hot teas then how do we deal with hypoglycemia?
When I applied my membership to Fitness First first I asked my self why do they offer unlimited/refillable soft drinks in the lobby area. Then my Personal Trainer that time informed me that the soft drinks or Carbonated Drinks offer higher sugar content which will be a great first aid to anyone who experience Hypoglycemia...
Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar is an abnormally diminished content of glucose in the blood. The term literally means "under-sweet blood". It can produce a variety of symptoms and effects but the principal problems arise from an inadequate supply of glucose to the brain, resulting in impairment of function (neuroglycopenia). Effects can range from mild dysphoria to more serious issues such as seizures, unconsciousness, and (rarely) permanent brain damage or death.
Remember the Movie Harry Potter when Harry faded due to Dementor? It was the Chocolate that was given to him as first aid. It was given to restore previously used or lacked energy.
Since Soft drinks or Carbonated Drinks are liquid fused with sugar, these are absorb by the blood faster compared to solid sugars.
Now that we are missing those carbonated drinks health benefits from the gym, we can now turn back to a simple sugar boost to help aid Hypoglycemia or the lacking of sugar. If you feel that you are weakening after strenuous work out, go ahead and dissolve 2-3 spoonful of sugar in a glass of water and drink it. Though it is not that highly recommended, since Table sugar are not yet in its simplest form, it will still help you regain those lost energy but it may take a while compared to already fused sugar with carbonated drinks.
Before doing the above, it is highly recommended that you seek the opinion of your Doctors since every case is a genuine case.
